A national NGO is executing a WASH and Shelter project in
District Nowshehra; interested persons may apply by August 20, 2024.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a test and interview. Preference
would be given to Nowshehra residents.
Duties and responsibilities:
Prepare an activity implementation strategy and discuss the resources required
to complete the activity.
Ensure community participation in the project activities.
Mobilize the community and align the initiative and organisation's mandate.
Collaborate with community members to identify and prioritize community needs.
Ensure the efficient and successful execution of food security, livelihoods,
and cash transfer interventions at the community level.
Create frequent weekly, monthly, and other reports (as suggested and needed).
Facilitation and help for conducting
awareness seminars
Mobilize neighborhood groups, sensitize and instruct them on specific issues as
needed, and arrange and coordinate meetings.
Follow the rules for Social Mobilisation and put them into action at the
community level.
Assist the Monitoring and Evaluation team with the necessary data collection.
Ensure that the Project Manager is up to date on all areas of the project.
Maintaining close communication with the community, local instructors (male and
female), religious leaders, and community leaders.
Ensure high-quality photos and an attendance list for all participants in the
activities/events. Share your ideas and experiences with management and other
team members.
To complete any additional related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
and Experience:
A master's or bachelor's degree in social sciences or its equivalent
At least 5 years of experience in the relevant sector.
Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to urge the community to actively participate in project activities.
Ability to operate individually and in teams amicably, with a problem-solving
approach.
Ability to meet deadlines, produce results, and operate with little day-to-day
supervision.
Fluency in the local and national languages.
Preferably computer literate, particularly in Microsoft Offices.
Must be willing to travel within the neighborhood and meet various groups.
Demonstrates effective communication, interpersonal, and reporting abilities.
